From our Perth base we deliver granite worktops perth across Perth, Scone, Bridge of Earn, Methven, Stanley, Luncarty, Bankfoot, Auchterarder, Crieff and Blairgowrie — plus the wider Perth & Kinross area. Typical travel time from our Talisker Place office is under 30 minutes, so site visits and snagging are quick to arrange.
Marshall & Co supplies and installs granite, quartz and natural stone worktops across Perth, Dundee and the wider Perthshire region. Whether you're refurbishing a single kitchen, fitting out a new build, or replacing tired laminate worktops with premium stone, our trade relationships with leading Scottish stone suppliers give you access to the full range of granites, quartzes and natural stones at trade prices.
Stone worktops are the single biggest visual upgrade you can make in a kitchen. They transform a mid-range fitted kitchen into something that looks and feels premium. They're harder-wearing than laminate, more heat-resistant, more scratch-resistant and they last decades — most stone worktops outlast the kitchen they're installed in.
We handle the whole process: measuring, templating, slab selection at the supplier's yard (where you can see the actual slab going into your kitchen), CNC cutting, edge profiling, on-site installation, sealing and snagging. One company, one project manager, one contract.
This service forms part of our wider work as an complete kitchen renovation service in Perth, giving homeowners a single trusted team for every stage of their project.

What's Included
Natural granite worktops in dozens of colours and patterns — Black Galaxy, Star Galaxy, Steel Grey, Kashmir White and more.
Engineered quartz worktops from Silestone, Caesarstone and Compac — consistent colour, low maintenance and stunning finishes.
Marble, soapstone, limestone and slate worktops for clients wanting a one-of-a-kind kitchen surface.
Pencil, bevel, bullnose, ogee and waterfall edge profiles cut and polished to your specification.
Matching stone splashbacks, full-height feature walls and upstands cut from the same slab as the worktop.
Undermount sink cut-outs, integrated drainer grooves and tap holes cut precisely on a CNC machine.
Granite is a natural stone, quarried in slabs and cut to size. It's enormously hard, heat-resistant, scratch-resistant and lasts essentially forever. Each slab is unique — patterns, veining and colour vary even within the same granite type. Granite needs annual sealing to maintain its stain resistance but is otherwise virtually maintenance-free. Costs typically £350–£800 per linear metre installed.
Quartz is engineered (around 93% natural quartz crystals bonded with resin). It offers complete colour and pattern consistency, no need for sealing, and slightly better stain resistance than granite. It's marginally less heat-resistant than granite (don't put hot pans directly on it) but otherwise extremely durable. Costs typically £400–£900 per linear metre installed.
Marble is the most beautiful and the most demanding of the three. The veining and colour variation in marble is stunning, but it stains, etches with acids (lemon juice, wine, coffee) and scratches more easily than granite or quartz. We recommend marble for clients who love the look and accept the patina that develops over years of use. Costs typically £450–£1,000+ per linear metre installed.
Soapstone, slate and limestone are specialist choices for clients wanting something genuinely unusual. We can supply and install any of these on request.
The biggest variable in stone worktop installation isn't the material — it's the precision of templating and cutting. A poorly templated worktop has gaps at the wall junction, misalignments at joints, and tap holes that don't quite line up with the units below. A properly templated worktop fits to the millimetre.
We use either laser templating or rigid CAD templates depending on the complexity of the kitchen. Both methods produce digital files that go straight to CNC cutting machines, eliminating human error in the cutting stage. Joins are typically placed at sink cut-outs (where they're least visible) or under upstands (where they're hidden behind splashbacks).
Edge profiles matter visually. The standard is a pencil edge (a small radius rounded edge — clean and modern). A bevel edge looks slightly more traditional. A bullnose is a full half-round profile, often used in classic kitchen designs. An ogee is a multi-curved profile used on high-end traditional kitchens. Waterfall edges (where the worktop continues vertically down the side of an island unit) are stunning on contemporary kitchens but require careful slab matching for the vein continuity.
Stone worktop costs in Perth vary by material, edge profile and complexity. As a guide, fully installed including templating, CNC cutting, edge polishing and sealing: standard granite costs £350–£500 per linear metre; premium granite (Black Galaxy, Kashmir White, Blue Pearl) costs £500–£800 per linear metre; standard quartz costs £400–£600 per linear metre; premium quartz (Silestone, Caesarstone, Dekton) costs £600–£900 per linear metre; marble costs £450–£1,000+ per linear metre.
A typical Perthshire kitchen has 5–8 linear metres of worktop, so total cost ranges from £2,000 (entry granite) to £7,500+ (premium quartz). Adding a stone splashback typically adds £600–£1,400. Adding a stone breakfast bar or island top adds £800–£3,000+ depending on size.
All quotes are fixed-price after templating. There are no hidden extras for cut-outs, sink installation or sealing.
