They're also the right choice when longevity matters — properly constructed cabinets with solid timber face frames and dovetailed drawers last for generations rather than years.
Every cabinet is designed in-house using CAD software, manufactured in our workshop using moisture-resistant MDF, solid timber or veneered ply, and installed on site with proper scribing to walls and floors. Painted finishes are sprayed in the workshop for a factory-quality finish that on-site painting can't match.

Most kitchen and bathroom cabinets on the UK market are flat-pack — manufactured in large factories, shipped flat, assembled on site. They're cost-effective and good enough for many projects, but they have limitations: fixed sizes (so anything non-standard requires fillers or compromises), cam-lock and dowel joinery (which loosens over time), and finishes that are good but not exceptional.
Workshop-built cabinets are made to order in our own workshop. Sizes are exactly what you need. Joinery uses proper face-frame construction, biscuit-jointed or dominoed where appropriate. Drawers are dovetailed (not glued and stapled). Finishes are sprayed in a controlled environment, not brushed on site after install.
The cost difference is significant — typically 40–80% more than flat-pack equivalents — but the result is cabinets that fit perfectly, last indefinitely and look like high-end joinery rather than mass-produced furniture. Best suited to feature areas (kitchen islands, larders, media walls, vanity units) and projects where standard sizes simply don't work.
Bespoke cabinet costs depend entirely on size, materials and complexity. As guide ranges: a single bespoke bathroom vanity unit in painted MDF with stone top runs £1,400–£2,800; a bespoke kitchen island in painted MDF with drawers and integrated wine storage runs £3,800–£8,500; a full bespoke kitchen (workshop-built carcasses and doors) runs £18,000–£60,000+ depending on size and specification.
Living room cabinetry (media walls, library units, alcove storage) typically runs £3,200–£15,000+. Home office and study joinery runs £2,800–£9,500.
